TROY, N.Y. (NEWS10) - After outgrowing their previous location in Clifton Park, a Venezuelan restaurant moved into a new location in the Collar City. Oh Corn! Arepas is a family-run business serving up a taste of tradition.

TROY, N.Y. — Oh Corn! Arepas and More, a family-owned restaurant serving authentic Venezuelan cuisine, celebrated its ribbon cutting recently.

Over a year after closing its first brick-and-mortar location, Oh Corn! Arepas and More is back in action, this time in Troy.

TROY — The owners of Oh Corn! Arepas and More, which has been closed since the end of October while they searched for a location to succeed the Halfmoon original, have purchased the former River Street Cafe building and hope to reopen in late August. The fast-casual restaurant was in a commercial plaza on Route 9 for five years, starting in 2016.

Oh Corn! Arepas and More is officially moving to Troy.

HALFMOON — Native Venezuelans Belkis Castro and her husband, Jose Theoktisto, moved to Clifton Park in 2008 and opened their home to new friends and neighbors, delighting them with homemade arepas. The positive response led them to open Oh, Corn Arepas and More on Route 9 in the spring of 2016.

Oh Corn! Arepas, a Venezuelan restaurant, in Halfmoon gives local diners a different alternative. The business opened in April at 1505 Route 9 in Halfmoon.
